Cart Restrictions
Due to the unstable ground conditions on holes #4,#10 and #17, golf cart restrictions have been implemented to minimize further turf and soil damage.
Current restrictions include:
- Cart path only requirements in designated areas at the start of 4, 10 and 17 fairways
- Limited maintenance vehicle access during wet periods including less mowing and rolling
These restrictions are necessary to:
- Prevent rutting and soil compaction
- Protect weakened turf areas
- Reduce long-term repair costs
- Allow impacted areas the opportunity to recover
To properly address the drainage deficiencies, the following actions are being implemented:
- Conduct a comprehensive inspection and mapping of the affected drainage infrastructure.
- Identify and repair damaged or obstructed drainage lines that can be located.
- We will be contacting a few drainage companies to get quotes on running new drain lines where required.
- Implementing some new drainage to help manage the saturated conditions
Until corrective drainage work is completed and turf conditions stabilize, cart restrictions will remain necessary to protect the affected areas and prevent further deterioration. This is not the entire fairway in these locations, rather the start of the fairway/forward tee in all areas.
