And yes, the Food & Beverage team notices. We know who likes extra ice, who has a favourite beer, who is probably going to order the same lunch they had last week, and who says they’re “not staying long” before asking to see the dinner menu.
Then there are all the little things that have simply become part of summer at Mad River: a cold towel on a hot day, a handful of MAD Kettle Chips at the turn, filling your water bottle before heading back out, sharing a few appetizers after your round, or running into friends and deciding there really is no reason to rush home.
Perhaps that’s one of the nicest things about August at the club. The days are warm, the clubhouse is busy, and sometimes the best part of the day is the part you didn’t plan.
And perhaps the surest sign that it’s August at Mad River? We’re already wondering how the summer went by so quickly!
