Food & Beverage

4/27/2020

I was born and raised in Toronto and I spent my summers in the Georgian Bay area hiking the trails, swimming at Craigleith Beach, playing volleyball at Sunset Point and biking on top of Blue Mountain. I knew then, that one day, I would call this area home.

I have been in the Event and Service Industry for over 25 years and have travelled to many parts of the world exploring various cultures, food and tasting wine. My love for people and being of service started in Parks and Recreation running programs, training new staff and fundraising. I have embraced the Hospitality Industry through working in Housekeeping, running Restaurants, organizing Events and working in the kitchen.  My goal is to provide you with value and an exceptional hospitality experience.

It goes without saying that this year is like no other we have seen before. With this new way of life, there are changes that we have had to implement according to the guidelines of our government officials.

So, how will this effect your dining experience at Mad River?

The Clubhouse will unfortunately be closed for the foreseeable future.  Therefore, once open we will be offering an ‘On the Go’ menu which will include sandwiches, snacks, alcoholic (cans only) and non-alcoholic beverages and we plan to progressively add more options based on Member feedback and support.

You will have the option of pre-ordering your sandwich/beverage/snack in advance of your arrival or at the turn on the Mad River App or you may phone it in. Once ready, your personalized order will be put into an open-air cooler for pick up. A staff member or I will be there to greet you, adhering to social distancing guidelines and make sure that you have everything that you need.

This is one of many measures that we have put in place with an objective to make your experience this summer a safe one.

While we wait for the official “Opening Day”, we are exploring options regarding take out food with wine and/or beer.  We will be requesting your input in a quick survey that will be in the next issue of the Mad Post. Any and all input, will be greatly appreciated and noted.

I look forward to meeting all of you real soon.
