Golf Operations Update

5/26/2025

This year, the club has decided to temporarily pause our reciprocal agreements with our Ontario clubs (excluding Ottawa Hunt). This decision is due to the capital project scheduled to begin in July. Leading up to the project, the goal is to provide as much tee access for our members and their guests. By limiting all unaccompanied play, including reciprocals, this will ensure that our members have more availability to enjoy their golf course. Once the project begins, it will significantly impact conditions and the overall experience which is not ideal for hosting outside groups. The goal is to review, and restore, all reciprocal agreements once the project is completed.

For this season, members will still be able to book reciprocal rounds when travelling outside of Ontario. Here is a list of what is available from east to west:

Ashburn Golf Club – Halifax, NS
Whitlock Golf and Country Club – Hudson, QC
Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club – Ottawa, ON
Niakwa Country Club – Winnipeg, MB
Earl Grey Golf Club – Calgary, AB
Edmonton Country Club – Edmonton, AB
Vancouver Golf Club – Coquitlam, BC
Victoria Golf Club – Victoria, BC

To arrange a reciprocal round, please send me an email at [email protected]. Please include the date, approximate time, and who will be joining your group.  I will contact the club involved and arrange the best tee time that matches your request. Please keep in mind that your request for a specified date and time is at the discretion of the hosting facility.

It is important to note that all reciprocal tee times are arranged in advance. A member should not contact a club directly to arrange a tee time. It is pre-arranged in this manner to ensure staff at the host club know who’s arriving, that they are members in good standing, and what conditions or fees, if any, are to be applied. If clubs do not have this confirmation, and you arrive as an unannounced guest, or even as a guest of a member of that club, the reciprocal arrangements do not apply, and you will be treated as a regular guest of that facility with all the applicable guest fees.

We will be adding two clubs to our list this season, not too far down the road in Barrie. Mark Bullen, former Associate Professional at the club and new Director of Golf at National Pines, has offered access for our members to visit National Pines and Manitou Ridge. Both properties are owned by Purposeful Golf. The details are still being finalized at this point. However, it is likely going to be available Monday to Thursday, anytime for our members. This will be a nice addition, especially later in the season when the project is more disruptive to the course. Keep an eye on the reciprocal section of the website for more information about this new agreement. It will be added within the next few weeks.
