F&B News

In addition to the new wine selections, Stephen has added some delicious new meals and will be showcasing his culinary skills throughout the season whether it is at a themed dinner, weekly specials or at one of many “pop ups” that we have planned for the season. A “pop up” is as it sounds. They are like a “Happy Hour” on randomly chosen days for example: Margarita Monday or Smash Burger Saturday or a Taco Tuesday.  These are to add a little fun after your round and an opportunity for those who don’t always stay to socialize or don’t want to have a full meal.

I met with fellow industry members on April 7th to discuss the impacts on our industry with all the tariff talk and “buy Canadian”. As you can imagine, there was a lot of conversation on “how do we offer all Canadian and continue to serve our members with the level of service and with the products they have all grown accustomed to?” Below is an excellent summary of this written by a colleague at another club.

“This year, as we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of global markets and discuss everything from tariffs to government leaders, our focus remains steadfast on bringing you the very best. We are deeply committed to showcasing the incredible bounty of Canadian produce. While Ontario’s growing season is naturally limited, rest assured that our priority is to source locally when possible, supplementing with quality ingredients from south of the border and other friendly nations only when absolutely necessary.”

Looking forward to another fantastic season!

With Gratitude,
