Ladies Captain's Report

10/6/2025

Each week there is a winner for closest to pin and longest putt in the cup over 5 feet and these winners qualified for the Shootout and Putt Off. The Putt Off was over 40 feet on the practice green and Cathy Hobart won with a putt stopping 4’3” away from the hole. The Shootout was 78 yards off the patio deck to the 9th green and Kim Edwards hit a fabulous shot that finished 7’ 1” from the cup. Congratulations to all the winners!

Nine holes were played for our last game of the season. It was so nice to be out there and enjoy the day. We played a new game which got positives reviews called Net 1-2 with a new view! The tees were a mix of yellow, red and purple and on the odd holes you took 1 best net score and on the even holes the team counted 2 net scores.

Winning outright was the team of Judy Adams, Jane Poulsen, Heather Johnston and Liz Hoffman. We had a tie for second place and due to retrogression including a blind partner score, the team of Lesley Brightling, Kim Edwards and Liz Quanbury finished second place.

CTP winner on #3 was Sally McLachlan and #11 was Sharon Delorenzi. The longest putt went to Liz Quanbury sinking a 13’ and squeaking into the PUTT OFF competition later that day.

On Thursday, Oct. 2 the top participants throughout the season played 9 holes followed by a luncheon. Points accumulated throughout the season for events held that are open to all ladies were totalled to determine who was invited. The player with the most points accumulated was Susan Quigley, this year’s 2025 Captain’s Cup recipient.

A great way to finish off the season!
