Despite our best efforts, we have no water to our driving range tee, pipes and communication wire were severed and dragged several yards, leaving us with no way to trace and repair these wires. Please practice in straight lines rather than scatter your divots, this will help our range recover faster and be in better condition the next time you are practicing.
Our usual fall cultural practices have begun, over the next couple of weeks we will be focusing our efforts on:
- Topdressing Fairways and approaches
- Mowing our fescue areas
- Keeping our new sod hydrated
- Topdressing our green surfaces
- Topdressing tees
Now more than any other time of year, we need to think about taking care of our golf course, please do not walk in any new seed areas to disturb seed bed areas. Also please fix your ball marks, 12 green is a perfect example, there were no ball marks on that green prior to yesterdays event, not one, this is what all of our greens should look like if everyone repaired their marks.
As always, look forward to seeing you out on the course!
Respectfully,
Chad Vibert
Golf Course Superintendent
