It was decided then that should anyone win The Open three times in a row, they would get to keep the trophy for good. So, sorry Tim, even if you three-peat next year, the trophy will remain at the Club, unlike when Young Tom Morris won his third in a row at Prestwick in 1870.
Congratulations again to Tim Martin for winning the Chase for the Creemore Cup! More details on his path to victory and what it will take for one of us to step up and win it next year will be in another post.
Lastly, our new Fall Series kicks off tomorrow, and it’s a great chance to play some partner and team formats on Wednesdays. We have played a lot of individual stroke play this season and this series will be a welcome change. Our course projects are in full swing during this, but it is still a great time to get out on the course to see some friends, have some friendly competition, and break up the week with some golf.
If you have not registered for the Fall Series,
you can do so here, and furthermore you will want to register here for our season-ending event, the Fall Classic, on Wednesday, October 8. This event is a shotgun start team scramble featuring
Super's Revenge pins, a dinner, the year-end shootout, and to celebrate the season that was. Register as a team or single now in the Fall Series portal!
