I have finally been notified by the insurance company that our claim for the clean up costs from ice storm damage has been denied. They’ve indicated our Golf Course Grounds coverage does not cover damage from ice storms. Our broker has been working with us from the outset and has been extremely helpful throughout the process, eventually taking our claim right to ownership. At this time, we are unlikely to take the matter any further.

As noted in the recent update from David Seville, despite the additional costs associated with the clean-up we are tracking well to budget. Higher than anticipated associate member enrollment has been the positive offset to the clean up expenses.

Golf shop sales are also performing ahead of budget; however, the poor early season weather has negatively impacted our guest and cart revenues.  Michelle, Stephen and the f&b team seem to be setting new daily sales records each week, the extended Canada Day long weekend was exceptional for f&b sales.
