2023 PROGRAMS & CLINICS

 HALF-DAY SHORT GAME SCHOOLS
LIMIT OF 4 PARTICIPANTS

Did you know an 18-handicap player will tend to miss 17 of 18 greens in regulation in a round of golf?  This is what makes the short game so important.  Learning to get the ball up and down a few more times a round is part of the secret to lower scores.  Golf is a game of managing your misses.

During this 2.5-hour short game school, you will:
  • Improve your putting from short, mid, and long range.
  • Improve your finesse game from inside of 25 yards.
  • Improve your distance control from 25 to 100 yards.
  • Learn how you hit your great shots and what you do when you hit your poor shots
  • Learn to have an intention over every shot.
  • Learn to think better on the golf course.

WEEKLY CLINICS

Weekly clinics are not only a great way to learn new skills, but also a great way to make new acquaintances at the club.  For 2023, our goal is to make the learning experience both fun and challenging for varying levels of golfers, from beginner to intermediate players.  Taking part in these workshops may just be the right fit for you!

During these sessions you’ll learn to:
  • How to practice effectively
  • How to set an intention for every single shot
  • Understand how you hit your great shots and how you hit your poor shots.
  • Understand how you get in your way on the golf course.
  • Learn how to have more fun!
  • Understand how to manage your way around the golf course.
  • What to do after your round of golf

PUTTING CLINICS

SHORT AND MID-LENGTH PUTTS
Here’s an interesting statistic – a 12-handicap player has a better chance, statistically, of 3-putting from 15 feet than making the putt.  Amazing, isn’t it?  A tour player is the opposite, but did you know that from only 8 feet, they have a 50/50 chance of making it?

These 90-minute, short to mid-length putting clinics will focus on:
  • Improving your putting from short and mid-range
  • Helping you understand the key elements of making putts including speed, line, and green reading.
  • How to take it to the course
  • How to simulate putts you might face on the golf course.

MID TO LONG-LENGTH PUTTS
One of the keys to golf is avoiding big numbers, otherwise known as a bogey-or-worse-avoidance, yet the number of three-putts that lead to bogeys or worse is astounding.  During these clinics, you will begin to understand the significance of speed and line (direction) and how improving your skills surrounding these two game elements can substantially lower your scores.

During this 90-minute clinic, you will:
  • Learn the importance of speed and how to manage your speed on the green
  • Learn how to get the ball started on your intended line.
  • Learn how to read the green from longer distances.
  • Learn to simulate putts you will face on the golf course.

AROUND THE GREEN

CHIPPING, PITCHING, AND FINESSE

The Finesse Game includes all those different shots from around the green within 25 yards of the hole that require a little less speed and a little more finesse.  What makes you a great player from 200 yards, doesn’t necessarily translate to the shots from within 25 yards.  Traditionally these shots have been known as chip shots, pitch shots, flop shots, and bump-and-runs, to name a few.  All are relevant around the greens.

During this 90-minute clinic, you will:
  • Learn what makes the short game so difficult.
  • Learn how to assess your lie to make the proper shot selection.
  • Learn the various types of shots and when and where to use each.
  • Learn how to practice these all-important shots.
  • Learn why you struggle with these shots.

These sessions will take place in the short game area.  Cost $50/session.  A minimum of 3 participants is required.

  • Learn when and where this shot should be performed.
  • Learn the mechanics to help you improve your sand and flop shot from around the green
  • Learn what is Bounce and why you need it.
  • Learn what Low Point is.
  • Learn how to control your Low Point for these shots.
