FORMAT DESCRIPTIONS:
Criers – When you finish your round, change your three worst holes to a par on these holes.
Play with a Pro – The team’s Best Net score per hole is recorded. The team can use the Pro’s gross score per hole if it is better than your team’s best net for the hole.
Fairways and Greens – This is a team effort but each person keeps track of their own score. You get 5 points for hitting the fairway/green with your first shot. Deduct the number of putts you make off of your 5 points and that is your score for the hole. If you don’t hit the fairway you get 0 points for the hole. The team with the most points at the end wins.
Mulligans (3/3) - Each player is allowed 3 mulligans on the front nine and three mulligans on the back nine. The team with the lowest score wins.
Putt for points game - There are no gimmies or chip ins allowed for this game. Each player can earn one point on their first putt only (from on or off the green) if the putt goes in, reaches pin high or goes past the hole. The team who has accumulated the most points wins.
Pink ball - At the beginning of play, each team is given a coloured ball. On every hole, the team must assign the coloured ball to one player in rotation and that player uses the ball as their ball for that hole. The “coloured ball” becomes the team score for the hole and is totaled at the end of the game for the Team’s score. Should any member lose the coloured ball, the team is out of the competition and their score is what had been accumulated until the ball was lost.
Scramble - Each person on the team drives their ball and the best drive is chosen. Each person then hits the second shot from the spot where the chosen drive lies, and the best second shot is chosen. Each person hits from that spot and so on until the ball is holed out. The team’s lowest score wins.
5 Clubs Only – Players choose five clubs out of their bag and leave the rest behind. They use those five clubs to complete the round. The team with the lowest combined score wins.
Red, White, Blue - On holes with a red flag, count 3 net scores. On holes with a white flag, count 2 net scores. On holes with a white flag, count 1 net score. Teams with the lowest combined scores win.
Best Ball/Worst Ball – The lowest net score and the highest net score per hole is used to calculate team score. The team with the lowest score wins.
Tombstone Golf – Each player is given a tombstone with their name on it. They must drop their tombstone once they have reached their last handicapped stroke. The winners are those that keep their tombstones the longest.
