Updates on recent events:
Madheim – September 10/11
A big thank you to our convenors, Catherine Sendell and Nancy O’Donnell-Jeffery, who did an amazing job at organizing this fun event. They provided us with cozy vests to wear on our chilly mornings. Thanks to Michelle and Malcolm who provided us with sustenance through breakfast, snacks, treats, lunch, and a delicious Spanish dinner on the second day. Sandy, Debbie and Stephanie visited us with shots, encouragement and updates throughout the two days. Thanks also go to the staff in the pro shop and the back shop who helped make this day an unforgettable event.
Canada was ahead by 5 points after the first day but Europe persevered and came back to tie the challenge on the final, second day. Everyone walked away winners. Congratulations to all participants!

Ladies Singles Match Play
The final in the Championship Flight of the Ladies Singles Match play was epic. With three holes to go Hilarie Woods had to focus all her energy on the end game. She took 16. Took advantage of stroke on 17 to win the hole and putted out on 18 to tie the hole. But a tie wasn't enough, as Lesley Brightling was dormie and she secured the win through excellent play one earlier holes. Clearly, handicaps level the playing field when it comes down to the last putt on the last hole to determine the Champion.
Congratulations to both players for a tournament well played. Your winnings will be tabulated and added to your accounts soon enough.
But that's not quite the end of things. The Consolation side of this event remains to be decided with the winner also collecting some of the winnings. Stay tuned for the results of that match which will be reported shortly.
