The irrigation repairs on the driving range two weeks ago have been completed, in all 5 significant leaks were repaired. This remains a difficult area to isolate on the property.
In the coming weeks we have a few small projects and some cultural work in and around the property, this includes:
- Mowing and cleaning up our fescue areas
- Topdressing our fairways
- Leveling an area at 7 tee steps for course furniture
- Overseeding fescue areas, some areas are too thin – which allows too much weed infestation
- Installing curbing stones at greens and teeing areas
- Meeting with pond contractors on weed removal 2024
- Topdressing our teeing grounds
We get a few questions around divot mix use on the property, here are a few tips on the use of sand and seed bottles:
- Please use divot mix on fairways when divot is not large enough to replace, always replace when possible first
- Divot mix provided can be used on tee decks if you choose
- Never use divot mix in the rough, bentgrass is not desirable in rough areas
- Divot mix re-fill stations are located at the bathrooms at 6 and 15
Divot Day
Our final divot day of the season will be held on Wednesday September 20
th at 8-10am. Please meet in front of the clubhouse.
As always, we look forward to seeing you on the golf course,
Respectfully Submitted,
Chad Vibert
