We continue to work at transitioning the Mad River Articles and By-laws to the new Ontario
Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA). We intend to complete this mandatory work over the winter and present if for member approval at the AGM in 2024. The new Act comes into effect in October of 2024.
Other communications relating to Board work this year will be forthcoming from our Club President, David Seville in September.
Our golf course contractors expect to be working on #18 tee for about 10 more days. The work is progressing more slowly than anticipated, but the outcome is beginning to materialize (see Member Central photos). Seed and sod will then be applied to both the inhouse tee work on #15 and the new #18 green tee.
Chad and his team have several other small projects that he will update you on in upcoming articles.
We will be moving off the driving range turf and onto the new range mats in early October to give the driving range turf the opportunity to recover.
Reminder - As we move into the fall it becomes
even more important to re-fill your divots and repair ball marks on the greens.
Please remember, even if your ball runs to the back of the green, if it landed on the front, you must return to repair the ball mark. Please remind your playing partners if you notice this occurring in your group.
