Golf Operations Update

6/1/2022

This is a great opportunity to remind members that they should ALWAYS inform the pro shop staff anytime they strike a ball into the parking lot, even if no damage to vehicles, or injuries have been sustained. As part of your membership at the club, you are also enrolled as a member of Golf Canada. As part of the membership with Golf Canada, you automatically receive up to $1,000 of insurance coverage for the cost of replacing or repairing damaged windshields. Therefore, if you hit a shot that breaks a windshield, you do not need to worry about incurring a big expense out of pocket. You can simply file a claim and Golf Canada will reimburse up to maximum of $1,000. If no one reports the shot, unfortunately the member with the broken windshield is on their own to cover the cost of repairs. If you played golf on either of the days mentioned, and you hit a shot into the parking lot off the 12th or 18th hole, please send me an email or give me a call in the office so that we can get a claim started.

This Saturday, June 4th we have Callaway Golf at the club for a fit day. We still have some appointments available for this event. Please call the pro shop to book a time. We also have Ryan from Modern Golf from 11am – 2pm for a Trade-In Event. Please bring in all your old, unused equipment to receive an instant credit in the pro shop.

The match play brackets are officially posted! If you signed up for one of these events, please reach out to your opponent to book your match before the deadline. When a match is completed, please ensure someone informs the pro shop staff of the result so that they can update the online bracket and the board outside the pro shop. We encourage matches to be played during the week when the tee is not as busy to avoid issues with pace of play. There is also a better chance of playing as just a twosome during the week (singles match play). If booking a match on the weekend is the only option for both players, that is fine. You will still be required to maintain pace and you have a higher probability that other members will join your group. Good luck to all participants!
