Bill and Lorraine Strain continue to volunteer their time and skills to assist the Club – Many of you will know Bill for his service on the Board from 2015-2020. During much of this time he served as our Finance and Audit Chair and on various other Task Forces, but Lorraine has also volunteered her time to serve on the Board.
What you may not know is that Bill and Lorraine have volunteered countless hours to the Club in other ways. Many of the beautiful woodwork boards and display cases you see around the clubhouse are the results of Bill and Lorraine’s volunteerism. This includes the beautiful Club Championship board, Past President’s board, the Bob Cupp feature display case and our main marketing display case.
The skill and detail of their work is extraordinary and the results will be enjoyed by members for many, many years. Additionally, they’ve built our driving range bulletin board, our back shop greeting podium and most recently the new water cooler stand. These outdoor furnishing are available through many suppliers, but constructed with plastic not wood!
Every year, they ask what they can do to help? If there’s anything we need? From beautiful interior display cases to practical operational items, they are always willing to help in any way!
