I’m pleased that the board and management used the 2017 plan as our guide and have made tremendous progress in all the key areas. It may seem odd to suggest that we did follow the plan, but often that’s not the case, a plan is developed, posted and forgotten until it’s time for the next plan. Fortunately, that did not occur at Mad River and as a result of the board and managements commitment to the execution of the plan, the Club is better off today than it was in 2017.

I feel strongly that an equal amount of thought and work has gone into updating our Strategic Plan and that it will produce similar results. A tremendous number of members contribute to the development of these types of documents and by my count, there were well over 100 members that have volunteered their time to assist. Industry experts are also sought out and we had contributions from leaders in the golf and other industries along with our management team.

Rather than listing every member that has contributed, here is a list of committees and task forces that assisted in the development of this version of our Strategic Plan;

Marketing, Social, Golf, Grounds, Finance, Governance, Human Resources, Land Taskforce (TF), Funding TF, Clubhouse TF, Food and Beverage TF, Survey TF, Long-Range Planning TF, Focus group participants and of course the Board of Directors, Industry expertise and the Management team.
