There will be a silent auction and a raffle with prizes as well. Those wishing to donate more than the $25 are encouraged to do so either before the August 30
th event by using the drop box in the hallway, or on the day of the event. A representative from Hospice will attend to speak at the luncheon.
Our Men’s Captain, Ang DeLorenzi is very supportive and has encouraged the men’s section to donate half their winnings in the month of August to support the ladies efforts. A couple of the men have already deposited their winnings and a few have indicated that they will make a contribution over and above their August winnings. Thank you Ang for your support and encouragement of our Ladies fundraiser!
Here are a couple of things that you may not know about Hospice Georgian Triangle:
- Prior to their passing, Audrey & Don Campbell, former Mad River Members, laid the foundation for what has become the area’s top palliative care centre – Campbell House.
- Hospice provides care for those with life-limiting illness or in their last stages of life.
- HGT provides care both in the home and at Campbell House.
- Campbell House has ten beds allowing families private, compassionate care while managing the passing of their loved one.
- These programs come at no cost and focus on the physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of the patient, family and caregivers, enhancing quality of life.
Another way in which to help this charity is to purchase an item for donation to the raffle or silent auction to help raise funds. Our 2022 Committee has been working hard purchasing and gathering items for this very purpose. Help in this way is equally appreciated. Donations can be dropped off in the pro shop to my attention or placed in my office with the name of the person/business responsible for the donation attached before
August 26th. This will allow the committee time to organize and catalog the items received in advance of the event day.
Please consider giving to this worthwhile and essential local charity. Hospice generously provides a tax receipt for any amount, no minimum donation required. A drop box is located on the desk in the main entrance way for your convenience. Remember to put your name on the envelope and indicate if you want your tax receipt mailed or emailed. Alternatively a donation can be charged to your account by emailing

August 26th.
