Men's Captain Report

7/12/2022

In The Loop

Please congratulate Jamie Hugessen on his personal best 72 gross score on men’s day July 06th.  Well done Jamie!!

I’ve been in contact with Brian Usher Jones. His shoulder surgery went very well and he’s recovering at home. Lets hope Brian can get in a game in late September!

****Pace of Play****

Gents, for the most part this season, pace has been great! However last week one of the groups fell a couple of holes behind. It created a backlog and every other group behind were 4 ½ plus hours. A gentle reminder that, we all have bad days, however we should be respectful, mindful and considerate to the rest of the field. If your group is not keeping up to the group ahead, please consider ways to catch up. i.e. a power cart on the back 9, pick up at max and simply encouraging each other to pick up the pace.

 Member Guest July 21-22

As you may have noticed those members that were successful in acquiring a spot in the event have been given priority booking for July 21st in the afternoon, for the practice round. If you wish to play that day, please look more so towards playing in the morning.

 Supporting Hospice Georgian Triangle

Gents, to reiterate from my last post, our women members are always mindful of supporting their community. This summer they have chosen to support Hospice Georgian Triangle. This is an admirable and a very nice thing to do. It would be also nice if our Men’s membership would support them. I am suggesting that we could donate half of any of our winnings during Mad Men’s League or any other event where we may win something in the Month of August. This is totally no pressure, but any donations will be very much appreciated by our Lady’s section. Thanks in advance for considering.
