The biggest question I received over the weekend was in regard to the booking procedures. Many are asking how long the ballot process will last and if we will be returning to the old system. At this time, we will be using this system until at least June 13
th. We will be asking for feedback from the membership to determine if we continue this process, return to the old system, or use a combination of both. Please continue to read all Club communications to ensure you are informed as this evolves in the coming weeks.
For those that played last weekend, you would have also seen a few new faces in our outside service team. These staff answered the call to get into work on very short notice. In a normal year, the staff would normally start at the end of April. This would provide a few weeks of on-the-job training to be completed, working through any issues, before we get to the long weekend in May. As exciting as it was to receive the news that we could open, it also put our staff under a lot of pressure as they would be starting on an extremely busy weekend. On top of that, they also have a new building and new processes to learn, such as storing and charging of power kaddy batteries. Please be patient during the first couple of weeks as the staff work through the challenges.
This past Monday we hosted a very successful Fit Day with Ping Golf. When placing the orders, we were advised that the turnaround would be roughly 6 weeks. In some cases, depending on the product, it could take as long as 8 weeks. For reference, in a normal year when we place an order for a member. It typically arrives in 7-10 business days. Needless to say, the effects of covid have continued to impact production. I mentioned this in a previous communication, if you are looking at new clubs this season, it is best to order as soon as possible to ensure they arrive in time to use them for most of our season. Having said that, here is the list of upcoming Fit Days, right through the month of June:
