Earlier this season, we shared with the membership that the PGA of Canada was in search of Canada’s Hardest Hole. This competition was part of a newly formed sponsorship with No Sweat products. Last week, the PGA of Canada announced their finalists. I am excited, and not surprised, based on how many “crooked” numbers I made and witnessed, to share that hole #17 made it into the Sweet Sixteen. They have eight clubs from Ontario and another eight from the rest of Canada. In the club’s first match up, hole #17 was up against hole #6 at Royal Ashburn. Mad advanced into the Elite Eight and will face the winner of #13 at Devil’s Paintbrush and #18 at The National. Christmas is less than a month away and I am sure most of you have already started your shopping. If you have not yet started or need to find a gift for the golfer in your house, the pro shop is here to help! The pro shop will be open for a CHRISTMAS SALE this coming weekend, Saturday, December 4
th and Sunday, December 5
th from 10am – 3pm. On top of great prices, we will also have wine and cheese available and some fun competitions on the simulator to win some prizes! Following this weekend, the pro shop will be open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm up until December 17
th. We will be closed over the holidays and will re-open on Monday, January 3
rd.
