Golf Operations Update

10/13/2021

The weather could not have been better for Thanksgiving weekend. Monday was by far the highlight with temps climbing into the high 20’s! We have yet to deal with any frost delays which is extremely rare for this time of year. This is something I have not experienced living out in Calgary for the last two seasons. In my first season out west, we never made it to Thanksgiving weekend as we were hit with 60cm of snow on September 28th. Last season was no different, a similar amount of snow fell on October 7th. Needless to say, it is nice to be back in Ontario this time of year! My former club Earl Grey has already closed for the season with temps dropping to -11 overnight.

Unfortunately, this great weather is coming to and end as cooler, more seasonable temperatures arrive next week. We only have a couple of more weeks before our targeted closing day of Sunday, October 31st. I would like to remind all members that the club and cart storage building will not be storing anything over the winter. Please ensure that you pick up your clubs, and power kaddies (if applicable) once you have played your final round of the season.
