In the interim, the board have made the following decisions that will take immediate effect, please note;
- The Legacy I category has a category capacity of 10 equity members.
- The lateral component of the Extended Family Associate Policy is on pause. This means Regular or Founder Members may not sponsor their brothers, sisters, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece or nephew to play on their membership.
- The vertical component of the Extended Family Associate Policy remains unchanged. This means the grand parent, parent, parent-in-law, son, daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, children and grand children of the Regular or Founder Member may continue to play as an Extended Associate.
The Extended Family Associate policy, in particular the lateral component of the policy, was introduced at a time when the Club was actively seeking to grow the membership and introduce new members to the Mad River family.
Now that we have reached our Membership capacity of 350, and have a healthy wait list of prospects looking to join the Club, the board are sensitive to the total membership numbers and have put a pause on this pending review.
Any potential changes to the Extended Family Associate category will take into consideration those currently in this category.
