The LRPTF has had a couple of introductory meetings to understand some of the topics of discussion from both the Grounds Committee and the Clubhouse Operating Committee (COC). The irrigation system is very near the end of its useful life and will be replaced within the next few years and it has always been planned to renew the bunkers at the same time in order to minimize disruption. Both of these projects have been planned for in our capital budgeting and just need to be scheduled.
The Grounds Committee has discussed and reported on the safety concerns of the frequency of balls landing in the bag drop area and practice tee area from #12 Tee and balls hit from #18 Fairway landing in the parking lot. The Grounds Committee has consulted with Doug Carrick, our course architect of record, for some solutions to these safety concerns and continue to monitor these situations.
Last year’s member survey provided the COC with feedback on some potential enhancements to the clubhouse that many members supported. The additional seating made available on the lawn next to the patio and designating an entrance for Cupp’s Corner were low-cost trials to expand outside seating and improve traffic flow. The COC continues to monitor and discuss more permanent solutions.
The LRPTF will assess the information from the Grounds Committee as well as the Clubhouse Operating Committee along with information received from listen and learn groups and/or pulse surveys that the LRPTF may form. Finance and Audit will provide financial modelling to inform the LRPTF’s recommendations to the Board for possible alternatives for costs, financing and implementation plans.
Please rest assured that
no changes will be made to either the golf course or the clubhouse without the members first being consulted.
Stay tuned for updates.
