Why Cupp’s Corner?
Traditionally, the concession stands at golf clubs have the name “Halfway House” or Snack Shack”. We wanted a name that would reflect the club. After brainstorming about 30 names, we chose Cupp’s Corner to pay tribute to Bob Cupp, to the man who created our beautiful course.
Cupp’s Corner is ideal for you to stop by and grab a coffee in the morning and then to grab your pre-ordered sandwich on your way to the 10th hole. We have a dedicated team member who is ready to serve you and assist you with anything food and beverage like loading the app.
Otta and I have been organizing the kitchen and back spaces to have it ready for our team that will be joining us this season. We are happy to say that we have a fantastic team this year comprising of returning staff and new ones all of whom have worked in different areas of hospitality and customer service. A little patience with them is greatly appreciated as they will be learning new skills and getting to know you and the club.
I am requesting your assistance. Please know your member number and tell the server if they happen to forget to ask. You could say, “Hi Maddy. I am Robin Smith and my member number is 123. I would love a glass of chardonnay.” This will help us charge the proper account and minimize any unnecessary inconvenience for you. This year our team will be in uniform and have name tags so you can easily identify them. They are anxious to get started and to be of service to you. Once we get the go ahead to open, we will bring in the team to complete any other training we were not able to do virtually.
